Down 27 lbs: My new diet in details

Still on Wait Watchers and following there freestyle diet.  It consist on eating fruits, vegetables, lean meats, wheat bread and drinking plenty of water.

Each food item has points and currently I have 36 points to eat on a daily basis. As you lose weight over time your daily points go down. Good food choices and strategy come in to place in order to be successful.

It helps they have 200 foods that are worth zero points like fruit, fish, and vegetables. They have a vast recipe section as well.  You eat out less often but when you do they have a vast list of restrurants and their menu loaded in the WW app as well.

We used the app today when eating out at BJ's a great place to eat.  Today I had the Barbecue Bison Burger and only ate half it to cut down on my points. Along with a salad and broccoli and sugarless tea.

Bad foods that are higher points are white bread, sugar, cakes, cookies, ice cream and most processed foods.  On my weigh end day every week I eat a snicker ice cream bar that is 10 points. The rest of the day I have to include zero foods to help from going over my daily count.

So far so good, since January 2019 I have lost 27 pounds and currently my weight is 263 pounds. I have lost three pants sizes and buying new clothes since my older cloths fall off me. My waist is now 42 and no longer shop in the big and tall stores. Freedom is good and I'm exercises five times a week.

I am on fire and plan to stay that way until I reach my goal weight of 200 pounds.

Down 21 pounds

Today I loss one pound last week for a total weight loss of 21 pounds since January 2019.  The biggest changes I have made is joining Weight Watchers and increasing the intensity of my workouts.

Weight Watchers has educated me on eating the correct portions, adding more vegetables and fruit and drinking a lot of water. I cut out soda, juices and sugar in my coffee.  I try to eat a vegetable with every meal, eat lean meats like Salmon fish, Sam's Club roasted chicken with out the skin, wheat bread, and research every food item with their app.

My workout are non stops with very small breaks.  Added new items in my gym like the speed bag and battle ropes.  I work out for 45 minutes every other day.  I try to change up my workout routine often.

I am seeing major weight loss and had to buy new clothing recently because my old ones are falling off of me.

Joined Weight Watchers

I haven't posted in years but I never gave up.  Three weeks ago I tried on one of new shirts and no longer could fit it. That put in a rage in me to do something about it.

Then I remember my wife talking about Weight Watchers.  So I joined three ago and it has changed my life.  I have lost 13 pounds and haven't done that in thirty five years.

I still exercise but now I fixed my diet by drinking water at every meal, cut way down on sweets, take advantage of their zero point food, and watch my portions. I'm back.

New Adventure

It's been months since I have blogged. Still working out but have made major changes in my workout and diet. About a month ago I woke up in severe gout pain in my big toe. Just misable and knew I had to do something radical about it.

This pain was more severe than ever and I researched again what sets gout off. Turns out I had done two bad things of eating too  much meat and sugary food. So I said I will not go thru that ever again. Immediately cut way down on sugar and limit meat to once a day. Also eat mainly Fish and Chicken and occasionally beef products.

I now eat nuts, dry cereal (don't like milk), vegetables, drink water, Gatorade and unsweetened tea.  I have one cheat day which is the first Saturday of the new month. On occasion I may eat a couple pieces of candy like once a week.

I constantly read about exercise and the benefits of it to stay inspired. So came across a couple article that talked about working out with Kettle bell for 20 minutes doing 150 swings as a great way to get stronger and lose weight.

So I changed my workout to two kettle bell workouts and one variety exercise program every week. I work out one day and take the next day off. My workout are for 1 hour and 30 minutes a day.

Theses changes have made positive changes. My cloths are falling off and I have increased my strength. Will keep you posted.

still in the game

despite some challenges with my body, i'm still at it. my last work out i punched the heavy bag, lifted the kettleball and did jumping jacks. now my hand is pretty much healed and now dealing with pain in my right leg i think due to my hamstring.

i soaked in the jacuzzi the other night and have tried to stay active hoping it will heal on it own.
although it feels better i still get a moderate amount of pain when i left my foot in the shower. i will make a doctor appointment to get a referral to physical therapy to heal that and my hand.

experimented with juicing some and eating a variety of foods. taking grapefruit for lunch and keep my sugar intake to a minimum as well. in the meantime i keep moving everyday and now some my cloths are getting looser.

movement

while my right hand still heals, less pain and feels almost 100%, i have put together a pretty good workout routine. mainly aerobic  and calisthenics exercises have help me get moving again. recently at work i completed 100 jumping jack and 100 squats had me sweating buckets and the next few days my legs were very sore. my leg muscles will grow stronger because of my efforts.

in a couple of weeks my hand should be fully healed and i can't wait to start back on the heavy bag and other exercises.
