wife getting me back on the good foot

My wife is getting me back on the good foot, she is feed up with both of our weight gains and declaring we get back to basics. I've already made some positive changes like eat two fruits a day, today I ate two apples. Became more active in my life like today, we worked in the basement putting in wood flooring in the basement, and did a lot of sweating doing that.

Increased my water intake to keep myself hydrated and keep my body healthy. Every day losing weight is a battle but one can win as long as you don't give up and make the changes necessary. I've been successful and have had failure in my journey but I don't give up. I can't give up because the price to health is too high.

I believe in exercise and healthy eating will keep me strong, alert and fit. I've been out of breath and had bones hurt for being too big, so I experienced your body turning against you when you get to big. That is not acceptable and I will never give up without a fight. I'm coming back you can bet on that.

As the old saying goes no pain no gain. The best way to climb a mountain is one step at a time. So until next time take care and God Bless.

Nothing good to report

9-20-13

All that ice cream, cake, and donuts are taking there toll on my body. The scale today read 287 pounds, up two more pounds. I've slacked off exercise. I still exercise but not as long and as consistently. Last week I worked out like three days for between 45 minutes and one hour.

Trying to get my exercise back to one hour and 15 minutes for five days a week with the weekend off. This morning ate animal cookies and grapefruit fruit cup. I need to cut down on the cookies and cake. Everyday is a real challenge to stick to a good diet.

So from my starting weight in January of this year, I'm down ten pounds after putting back on about thirteen pounds. All I can do is keep going and try different things and hope for the better. Until next time take care and God Bless.

my struggle

Having big struggle with my weight lately.  In the last two weeks I have gained five pounds. My weight is up and down so my struggles continues. It's true I've ate some chocolate cake and donuts, but I've also ate bananas, fruit cups, drank water and low calorie water drink mixes (ten calories a cup), spaghetti, fish, cheese and pita bread and pancakes.

I've got back into exercises everyday again and maybe this turn my weight loss around and try to be more active in my everyday life. Dancing to You tube videos, doing jumping jacks and squats, and wall and floor push ups and lifting lite weights.  Kind of running out of answers and am baffled. I do lack vegetables and maybe that is the magic bullet too.

Traveling and Illness

Just got back from traveling to my home town of Atlanta, Ga to see my mom and brother. Spent Labor day weekend going to movies, watching college football, and eating out. The eating out made me sick with stomach cramps and diarrhea. I couldn't eat all the KFC we got because it was old and bad tasting. I'm letting it run it course so I can get back to business.

Will need to get back to exercising since the scale showed a gained a few pounds on last Friday. Relaxed my diet some since I've been losing weight being so strict on it. Planning to run in place more since that burns a lot of calories and do some push ups.

Feel good that the NFL starts this weekend, my Atlanta Falcons will win the Superbowl this year with our new running back Steven Jackson. Keeping the faith, until next time take care and God Bless.
